P3K Application.
Okay i forgot. The Par 3 King 2006 tournament is getting closer and since some guys have already confirmed, i will make this post known as the APPLICATION post. So what do you need to fill in? Again i reiterate. Please write down your application at the comments section of this post okay.
Name, Contact number and email, Handicap, Golf course memberships, brief golf history, security vetting from Royal Brunei Police Force(just kidding).But if you are a former convict, the chances of you being accepted is not high. And whatever extra details you guys might want to add in.
Oh and we need photographers too. Preferably free of charge. We wont pay you either because this is a tourney with a budget. So khy54 or whoever is interested in taking pictures of the players, please apply at the comments section. This is a private tournament and pictures of players must be consulted to the committee first just in case some guys have lied to their wives or girlfriends about missing out on a wedding or dim sum on a sunday morning.
We accept volunteers too. Last year, Chipmaster and i singlehandedly stayed up till 2pm before the tourney to organise the goodies and scorecards. We were knackered and stressed. I hate stress. I don't want to stay up late again. It's bad for me, my golf and the wife hates it when i stay up late.
Spectators are also allowed and encouraged to watch as long as they don't mind walking around watching silly men hitting a small dimpled ball into a four and a half-inch cup. In fact, just to prove i'm not a sexist, women are allowed to play too.
Let me just remind myself and all of you those who have confirmed to join.
1.) Brian Sim - The King, last years winner, the man, my mate, buaya, need i say more?
2.) Nazree - Co-founder of Par 3 King aka ChipMaster, Adobe photo shop wizard, childhood friend, jack of all trades and soon-to-be brother in law.
3.) Sharil - Banker, Valedactorian at his Uni in the States, long hitter.
4.) Hj Sabirin - Quality assurance officer, master of the flop shot and nothing else.
5.) Armi- Newbie player, taken.
6.) G Awang - Technical instructor, married, knows a lot about cars and how to fix them.
7.) Me - also co-founder of the Par 3 King but i never win because somehow i am too busy trying to organise the golf tourney.
8.) Sayuti - funny guy who is a singer/performer/golfer. Hopefully he'll sing when we play because we like happy singing golfers.
There are 9 others who have confirmed along with these 8 and so if you newbie golfers out there want to play the coolest golf tournament in Brunei without people knowing that you are crap at it, then join this Par 3 because golf is a good game to be bad at.
So it's official, time to PAR-three! Get it, Par-three(like party). Nevermind.
Ps. Btw the putter for the winner is not a Ping Craz-E putter but a Ping Ugl-E putter. I was mistaken. Sorry.
Pps. To really confirm your slot, you can pay us the $30 green fee to me or Chipamaster in advance. We like money. It helps us with our decisions better. Plus it pays for all the prizes, refreshments and goodies without us using our own money.
