GENERAL RULES, REGULATION AND INFO by Amir

August is here and you know what happens this month. Yes, none other than the King of Par 3 Championship held at the Garden Course, JPPC on the wee early hours of the 20th August 2006. Oh the Brunei Open is in town too.
Last year's Champion Golfer, Mr Brian Sim will be competing again to defend his title.
There will be more info soon on the Par 3 King website which will come out early next week but i will give you some details with some added extras and changes to the local rules.

- Player with lowest score will be crowned Champion Golfer of the Year and will be presented a challenge trophy, a brand new original Craz-E putter (sponsored by Shariff Auto Sdn Bhd) and a personalised Par 3 King golf cap.

- There will either be prizes for Top 5 Nett score( if Stableford System 36 used) or Top 5 Gross score(if Strokeplay is used). The P3K committee have not yet decided which format to use but we will advise you in due time.

- This year there is a new award for Best Dressed Player so please dress sharply. There is still a prize for most Active Player so its okay to be last.

- Yes, there will be some lucky draw prizes as per usual.

- Each player is limited to bringing only 7 clubs including the putter.

- Nearest to the Pin (NTP) prizes for Hole #8/#17 and Hole #5/#14. Because the Garden Course has only 9 holes, each players gets 2 attempts on each nine.

- Hole in One Cash Prize B$100 sponsored by P3K( Par 3 King) organisation on a hole which will be advised in time.

- All interested applicants, please email us at basecheck@hotmail.com or nazwave@gmail.com ONLY after the 5th of August under the subject P3K and please include full name, contact number and a brief detail of yourself. All applications received before the 5th August 2006 will not be entertained.

- Tournament fee is B$30 inclusive of green fee, refreshments and goodie bags. Green fees must be paid in advance before the closing date of 13th August 2006 or else your slot wil be given to the next available golfer on the waiting list.

- Due to overwhelming interest, this years slots have been increased from 18 to 24 in the tournament with preference given to beginners and players who were in the Top Ten last year.
